Nov. 15th thru the 18th marked the annual National Brownfields Conference, held in New Orleans. The conference was attended by over 3,000 attendees representing government, consultants, community, and educator representatives. Byron Brown, the Program Coordinator for the Northwest Piedmont Brownfields Coalition attended this year conference, and had this to say,

"It was a great conference and having the opportunity to share our experiences with others, as well as learn from their experiences, provides us with valuable knowledge that we may be able to implement in the future."

The Coalition has submitted an grant for future EPA funds. Grant awards will be announced early 2010.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Northwest Piedmont Brownfield Coalition interest meetings on April 28th and 29th. You can download the presentation given at these meetings below (Regional Brownfield Program) as well as additional information.
