Overview
Northwest Piedmont Council of Governments’ Criminal Justice Department assists local governments in the region with the planning, implementation and administration of programs serving local and state criminal justice systems.
Ongoing systems-based programs include Pretrial Release Services, Sentenced Offender Services and Reentry/Transition Programming.
Technical assistance is provided to member counties/municipalities and other governments and organizations across the state upon request for projects addressing system policy reform, system expansion and long-term research planning.
