AAA Receives Funding for MindAlert Speakers Bureau

The Northwest Piedmont Area Agency on Aging was selected as a winner of the 2009 MindAlert Speakers’ Bureau Program Award supported by the MetLife Foundation.  This is one of 20 grants given nationwide.  This is the sixth year MetLife has sponsored events providing information and education about cognitive vitality on the community level.  The American Society on Aging (ASA) is committed to bringing members quality practical training based on the most current research, and the MindAlert Speakers Bureau allows researchers to tailor their research-based program content to meet our local needs.  Details about the MindAlert Speakers' Bureau event will be released as they are confirmed.
