Caregiver Lunch & Learn Series - Wednesdays - October 29, November 5, 12, 19, 2008

The 4th Annual Caregiver Lunch & Learn Series will be held on Wednesdays - October 29, November 5, 12, 19, 2008 from 11:30am - 1:00pm at Senior Services in Winston-Salem.  The series, in honor of National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, National Family Caregivers Month and National Hospice Month, is targeted for family caregivers, but all are welcome to attend. 

Series topics include: "Your Doctor as Your Advocate" - Dee Leahman - October 29; "Laughing All The Way: Why Laughter Really is the Best Medicine" - Mike Wells - November 5; "The Emotional Rollercoaster Ride of Caregiving" - Kelley Ryan - November 12; "The Dementia Dragon: Don't Be a Willing Participant" - Eileen McGuinness-Vaillancourt - November 19. 

This event is presented by the Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Piedmont Area Agency on Aging, Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, Senior Services, and the Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston-Salem.  Thanks to the sponsorship of Forest Heights Senior Living Community, Independence Village and Salem Terrace Assisted Living, lunch will be provided free of charge to attendees. 

Onsite care for loved ones is available, if requested in advance.  Registration is requested by calling (336) 761-2111, ext. 130 no later than the Friday prior to each session.
